The newest edition of New Balance’s collab with Joe Freshgoods brings back the 1000 model, a retro-running originally launched in 1999. In 2024, the sneaker, which hits the Brazilian market on April 26, gains adaptations and features an innovative design, combining touches of luxury, futurism and streetwear directly inspired by the turn of the millennium, a time that completely redefined the fashion scene.
The new Joe Freshgoods x New Balance 1000 features a combination of leather overlays and open mesh underlays on the upper, bringing not only a bold look but also breathability and comfort during wear. Additionally, the midsole combines polyurethane and ABZORB technology, offering cushioning for support and stability during all day-to-day activities.
The new model is part of the When Things Were Pure collection, bringing the feeling of nostalgia for 2000s life. Some details show this, like the flame graphics on the tongue and a web 1.0 inspired badge, in lowercase ‘jfg’, on the heel, offering subtle and unmistakably Y2K touches. Furthermore, the embroidered ‘1000’ and ‘JFG’ logos add a finishing touch to the iconic look.
For a sleek and rugged look, the Joe Freshgoods x New Balance 1000 is available in the Black Ice colorway, which combines black with tan leather overlays.
