EXTREME SURVIVAL is Discovery’s new adventure reality series that premieres on Tuesday, April 30th, on the Max channel and streaming platform. With weekly episodes, the production brings two survival experts to relive real cases in which people , whether willingly or not, they needed to defy the wild nature of Brazil to escape their own death.
The duo Luciano Tigre (ex-Desafio em Dose Dupla Brasil) and Taís Teixeira (ex-Largados & Pelados Brasil), will relive a case in each episode, and will be inserted in the same scenario of these stories, such as that of a marathon runner who lost during the race or survivors of a plane crash. They will have 72 hours to complete the challenge of finding the rescue and will have the same resources available to them as the real characters had.
In addition to following the duo, the public will also see testimonies from survivors, rescuers and witnesses of the events, with images and videos of real situations. There are cases in several regions of Brazil, such as Roraima, Rio Grande do Sul, Paraná, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Pará and Amazonas.
The series is a co-production between Mixer Filmes and WBD. For Mixer, SURVIVENCIA EXTREME is directed by Rodrigo Astiz, directed by Gabriel Hein and executive produced by Ana Maria Vilches and Adriana Marques. For WBD, production supervision is carried out by Adriana Cechetti and Luciana Soligo.
