The Parque do Sindicato Rural de Uruguaiana (RS) will host, from May 21st to 23rd, another edition of ExpoBrangus, one of the most important showcases for the breed in the country. And, this year, the Brazilian Brangus Association (ABB) and Núcleo Brangus Sul arrive at the fair with something new: the Brangus Radar and Asadito. The objective, explains the president of the association, Cacaio Osório, is to promote listening and dialogue between breeders and the entity and, of course, the tasting of Brangus meat. “We will add Asadito to Radar, which will go to its third event, in order to provide members with more time to exchange information. It will be a great night”, projects the manager. The event will take place on Wednesday, May 22nd.
ABB’s schedule also includes the traditional trials of rustic and hoop specimens, which will be held on Wednesday and Thursday (22 and 23/5). The expectation, says Osório, is a record number of animals registered for the show. “ExpoBrangus is a warm-up for Expointer. And, with each passing year, the tracks have shown Brangus’ potential and unique quality. In 2024, it will be no different. We must have excellent breeders in competition, highlighting the work of breeders from Rio Grande do Sul and also from outside the State”, he highlights, reinforcing that the breed’s agenda will also have other activities. The trials will be broadcast live on TV El Campo.
President of Núcleo Brangus Sul, Gabriel Barros, states that ExpoBrangus is one of the most important moments of the race in the year and, therefore, like Osório, he expects heavy tracks. “The jury will certainly have a hard time making their decisions. Given what we have seen in recent years, this fair must be of high quality”, he adds. The entry of animals will take place on Monday (20/5) and admission on Tuesday (21/5).
