The disappearance of people is the main theme of ‘Alert: Missing Persons Unit’, a new police drama that premieres exclusively in Brazil on March 28, at 10:55 pm, on the AXN channel. Starring Scott Caan (‘Hawaii 5-0’; ‘Ocean’s Eleven’), the series is full of action, where family conflicts and professional relationships mix at all times.
In the plot, police officers Jason Grant (Caan) and his ex-wife Nikki Batista (Dania Ramirez) engage in exciting searches for missing people in Philadelphia (USA), while trying to uncover the truth about the disappearance of their own son, disappeared six years ago.
In the first episode, a girl is kidnapped while waiting for her mother to pick her up after swimming practice. Meanwhile, Jason receives a “proof of life” photo from a young man who claims to be his son. He and Nikki, now chief of the Philadelphia Police Department’s Missing Persons Unit (UPD), react to the news with doubt, but are overjoyed when the boy they believe to be their son finally returns home. But is he really who he says he is? It is in the shadow of this doubt that agents will act from now on.
With a second season already confirmed, the series created by Jason Eisendrath – renowned producer and screenwriter responsible for series such as The Blacklist – and Oscar winner Jamie Foxx, resumes the successful recipe for police dramas while continuing to open its own path.
In addition to Scott Caan and Dania Ramirez (‘Once Upon a Time’; ‘Entourage’), the cast of ‘Alert’ also includes names like Ryan Broussard (‘Only Murders In the Building’), Adeola Role (‘The Blacklist’ ) and Sidney Grant (‘Atypical’). The first season of the series premieres on AXN on March 28, at 10:55 pm, with new episodes every Thursday.
