The Medical Association of Rio Grande do Sul (AMRIGS) participated in the reception for Freshmen in Medicine at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), held on the morning of this Monday, March 18th.
The Scientific and Cultural Director of AMRIGS, Dr. Guilherme Napp, spoke to those present explaining the advantages of being a member of the entity and important actions developed with a focus on academics. The reception featured an institutional presentation by AMRIGS and the entity’s University Department, providing freshmen with information about the Association’s role in promoting students’ professional and scientific development.
“AMRIGS is an entity whose mission is to bring together the best medical practices for the benefit of doctors, health and the community. It is important that everyone can get to know the University Department, an important space for exchanging experiences between students and professionals. During their training, students find guidance about their careers and specializations, as well as valuable connections with members of the AMRIGS Board of Directors. This environment promotes an essential exchange of knowledge and perspectives to prepare future medical professionals”, highlighted Dr. Napp.
The University Department of the Medical Association of Rio Grande do Sul (DU AMRIGS) is an organization that integrates academics from various Medicine courses in the state of Rio Grande do Sul. Among its purposes, it seeks to contribute to the improvement of medical-scientific culture, mainly by holding events of interest to the academic community, such as courses, seminars, lectures and an annual congress. The group is coordinated by doctor Marcos André dos Santos, director of Communication at AMRIGS and is currently chaired by medical student Samira Bjaige (Unisinos).
