After drinking 50ml of pomegranate juice twice a day for two weeks, blood levels containing angiotensin II, the converting enzyme (ACE), fell by a further 36% in seven of the ten patients.
Furthermore, blood pressure fell by an average of 7/1 mmHg – a 5% reduction.
