The Fourth District of Porto Alegre will become a great stage for Irish culture in the Capital with Saint Patrick’s Day, which promises to be the biggest in Rio Grande do Sul. The party will be on Saturday, 16th, and Sunday, March 17th on the streets Moura Azevedo, Conselheiro Camargo and Conselheiro Travassos, which will be closed to guarantee the safety and fun of all participants.
In this edition, more than 50 thousand people are expected to enjoy a true party atmosphere, including an electric trio that will entertain the public during the two days of the event. Organized by Produção Quarto POA, together with bars and breweries in the region, the event has gained prominence in recent years and, in 2024, promises to exceed all expectations.
One of the striking features of Saint Patrick’s in the Fourth District is street sales at participating bars, which will be equipped with kiosks offering the best of typical Irish cuisine and drinks, such as draft beer and green burgers.
Furthermore, in order to ensure cleanliness and the correct disposal of waste, a priority for the organizers, three cleaning stages will be carried out: pre, during and post-event. A partner cooperative will be responsible for disposing of the waste for correct recycling.
And the party will not only take place on the streets, the participating bars have also prepared internal activations to provide a unique experience for visitors, with special attractions and surprises throughout the two days. The expectation of local entrepreneurs is to sell around 30 thousand liters of beer, which will be distributed in more than 80 taps.
