Olympikus launches the Corre Supra, its first super sneakers, produced with the most advanced technologies in the world, so that Brazilian runners can reach their maximum performance.
The Corre Supra has 8mm of drop, total weight of 217g – measured in number 40 – and through open innovation the research and development team had a team of sports experts to carry out raw material tests at the CCDM/UFSCar and product testing in the biomechanics laboratory at USP, two of the country’s main universities. In addition to the community of professional and amateur athletes who always contribute to the brand’s evolution process.
Approved by World Athletics, the model delivers a maximum level of cushioning and energy return, a soft midsole, rigid outsole flexibility and is ideal for training and high-performance competitions on asphalt. In the color palette, the brand focuses on lime, orange, black, white and purple tones, the first color to hit the market is lime.
Technologies
Olympikus brings the highest level of technology to Corre Supra through partnerships with major global suppliers. The model has an exclusive and unprecedented continuous carbon fiber plate, Carbon G via Toray, coated with liquid graphene, bringing increased performance to the plate with 3 times greater propulsion and 5 times more resistance compared to short fibers.
Furthermore, the midsole and insole are produced with the exclusive NT-X technology, created by Olympikus, which consists of Pebax® RNEW® technology, developed by ARKEMA, expanded by nitrogen. The critical raw material in the midsole helps performance by bringing stability, little deformation and lightness.
The Supra’s sole features a partnership with JV International, Michelin’s global licensee, which, in addition to the material, collaborated with the design. The result is a sneaker with reduced weight on the sole and increased grip due to the design, which grips both on dry and wet ground, providing more stability for the athlete.
Thinking about the breathability of the shoes, Olympikus applies Oxitec 3.0 technology to the upper, bringing to the Corre Supra the best leather ever made by the brand – light, adjustable and breathable. It is a new composition of yarns, with a very fine mesh. The combination of polyamide and polyester resulted in a technological mesh that does not lacerate and guarantees maximum airflow to runners’ feet, reducing the accumulation of weight due to water and sweat. As a result of this combination of technologies, Corre Supra offers comfort to the runner and also a bacteriostatic effect, helping with thermal regulation, improving resistance to abrasion.
For the Corre Supra, a lacing was developed with three times more tying strength to create a perfect and individual fit for the runners’ feet, eliminating the need for a double knot, remaining firm until the end of the race. This is due to the design with grooves and side dimples that promote greater friction and fit.
