Estância Velha will take the last recycling point of February to Bairro Rincão Gaúcho, on Rua Emílio W. Scherer, next to EMEF Mal. Cândido Rondon. The container will be on site from Friday (23) to Monday (26), the containers from the Voluntary Waste Delivery Site (LEV) will be in the Rincão Gaúcho neighborhood.
Started in 2021, the program will have 32 editions in 2024, and since its launch it has collected more than 800 tons of waste. The action was created by the Department of Environment, Livestock and Agriculture (SEMAPA) to facilitate the disposal of material that is not collected by the municipality’s selective collection. The next edition will take place in the Sol Nascente neighborhood (Venice), on Rua Gérberas, next to the Residents’ Association, from the 8th to the 11th of March.
