The Civil Police are investigating the death of a 7-year-old boy, identified as Ícaro, after falling ill, in the village of Bororó, in Dourados, 221 kilometers from Campo Grande.
According to Dourados News, Ícaro began to feel unwell last Sunday (11), after suffering a foot injury resulting from a domestic accident.
He was taken to the Caiuás mission hospital, where he received medical care and was released. However, on Monday (13), the boy started feeling unwell again, and his mother took him back to the mission hospital, where he was treated and released again.
On Friday (16), Icarus had another episode of malaise, and the boy’s mother decided to take him to a neighbor, a religious leader, so that a prayer could be said.
When they got there, the child began to have shortness of breath, and EMS was called. When the rescue team arrived at the scene they found that Ícaro was already dead.
The case was registered at the Civil Police Station as a death to be clarified.
