Porto Alegre will host a great cycling challenge on February 25th: the first Brevet and the Urban Challenge promoted by Les Gauchos. With a starting and ending point at Pontal Shopping, there will be two route options that value cycle tourism, one with a Brevet 200 km, and the other with a Desafio 130 km. The start will be at 6 am and registrations can be made until February 16th on the website www.lesgauchos.com.br.
The cycling event is considered self-sufficiency, non-competitive, in the Randonnée style. Furthermore, the Brevet Randonneur Mondiaux is approved by Randonneurs Brasil and Audax Club Parisien and valid for the 2024 series calendar. During the route, there will be a support structure for cyclists.
Registration costs R$ 215.00 for the BRM 200km and R$ 95 for the 130km Challenge, with a dry-fit t-shirt alluding to the event, photographic material, medal and certificates, as well as life insurance, included in the fee. The complete regulations are available on the same registration website.
It is recommended that participants arrive at the start location 1h15 before, when the delivery of kits begins at Bike Store Ponta, an action partnership with Pontal Shopping, and Lojas Pompéia.
