The 45th Beach Rallye takes place in Imbé on February 24th with the Nery Reolon Race consisting of the 1st Stage of the VI Copa Gaúcha de Regularidade Histórica and the 1st Stage of the Campeonato Gaúcho de Regularidade 4×4 2024.
The event is organized by the Porto Alegre de Rallye Club with support from the Municipal Secretariat of Tourism, Sports and Culture (SETURDEC) of Imbé.
Historical Regularity
In the Copa Gaúcha de Regularidade Histórica, four categories will be available for competitors to register, according to each one’s experience. A reminder to those interested in competing in the Copa Gaúcha de Regularidade Histórica race is that the route will only be on asphalt.
Classic Categories
Original classic cars grouped according to year of manufacture:
- Classics I: manufactured until 1970
- Classics II: manufactured between 1971 and 1994.
For navigation, mechanical or digital stopwatches and calculators with only the four usual arithmetic operations will be allowed, not programmable or modified in any way. Specifically for the Classic Category and considering the odometer/speedometer limitations of vehicles in this category, the use of a cell phone running a GPS-type application as an odometer and speedometer will be permitted (including or not a map feature).
Free Category
Classic cars manufactured until 1999. Navigation features and their connections are free, as long as they do not obstruct the driver’s and navigator’s vision, do not compromise safety, and do not pose any danger in the case of cars equipped with an airbag.
Categoria APP
Classic Cars manufactured until 1999. In APP Navigation, only all Classic Navigation features will be supported with up to two cell phones and not connected to the vehicle and cell phone applications.
Tourism Category
This category aims to provide knowledge and initiation into the world of rallying. At the team’s discretion, navigation equipment may or may not be used and, using it, you can opt for any of the navigations in the other categories. This category will include Original Classic Cars, Modified Classic Cars, Classic Pickups, Classic Jeeps and Original Pre-Classic Cars less than 30 years old.
Gaucho 4×4 Regularity Championship
In the Gaucho 4×4 Regularity Championship there are 3 categories Graduated and Tourism that race with highly accurate measuring equipment. These are competitors who compete in the championship all year round, with teams already assembled. The cars are original from the factory, with the only requirement being 4×4 traction.
The third Novice category is for those competitors who are just starting out. It is permitted to use navigation equipment via cell phone. These competitors don’t do every trail, but if they want, they can do it by choice.
