The municipal administration, led by Mayor Fátima Daudt, revealed last Thursday, the 25th, the debut of the portal dedicated to reinvigorated public transport in the city of Novo Hamburgo. Available at email address https://mixmob.novohamburgo.rs.gov.br/, the website is a source of information about MixMob – Integrated Mobility System, which promises to revolutionize local public transport from April onwards. “This portal marks the beginning of a new era for public transport in our city, offering answers to initial doubts and emphasizing the importance of user re-registration”, declared Mayor Fátima, who recently inspected the final adjustments to the website.
MixMob appears as a result of Public Tender No. 04/2022, concluded last November, where Viação Santa Clara Ltda was chosen to operate the new service, replacing the previous companies. The initiative places Novo Hamburgo at the forefront of public transport in Brazil, with a differentiated approach that separates three crucial aspects: operation of transport services, management of the electronic ticketing system and on-board advertising.
“Through this portal, we highlight the main innovations that will accompany our public transport, including a renewed fleet, technological advances and a reorganization of bus lines”, explained the Mayor, encouraging residents to explore the website and discover the improvements that aim to optimize transport. transport experience, increasing its accessibility, convenience and safety.
Re-registration Required
It is essential that beneficiaries of free transport re-register to obtain the MixMob card. The process begins with elderly people and people with disabilities from February 5th, at Casa das Artes, located at Avenida Primeiro de Março, 59, Centro. “We chose this location because it is easily accessible”, highlighted the Mayor. Service is available from Monday to Friday, from 8am to 4pm.
To avoid crowds, the re-registration of elderly people is segmented by age group, following a specific schedule from February to March. People with disabilities can also re-register with the corresponding associations for greater convenience, or at Casa das Artes during the same period. Students will re-register online from March 4th, while transport voucher users will have their data updated by their respective companies, with the City Hall providing prior guidance.
