The Federal Institute of Santa Catarina (IFC) launched notice 02/2024, which provides information about the 953 places for undergraduate courses available through the Unified Selection System (Sisu). The vacancies are distributed among the 15 IFC campuses, located in Abelardo Luz, Araquari, Blumenau, Brusque, Camboriú, Concórdia, Fraiburgo, Ibirama, Luzerna, Rio do Sul, Santa Rosa do Sul, São Bento do Sul, São Francisco do Sul, Sombrio and Videira.
Those interested in competing for IFC vacancies can register from January 22nd to 25th. Registration is free and must be done online at Sisu official website. Candidates who participated in the National High School Exam (Enem 2023) and obtained a grade in the essay can apply. The Sisu selection process is organized by the Higher Education Secretariat of the Ministry of Education (Sesu/MEC). Therefore, it is important to monitor the site do Sisu for possible changes to the schedule.
Notice 02/2024 – selection via Sisu – undergraduate courses
For the first semester of 2024, IFC will make 853 places available on all campuses. The vacancies are for the following bachelor’s degree courses, degrees and technologists: Agronomy, Systems Analysis and Development, Computer Science, Agricultural Sciences, Fashion Design, Food Engineering, Control and Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering , Mechatronic Engineering, Physics, Tourism Management, Logistics, Mathematics, Veterinary Medicine, Real Estate Business, Pedagogy, Pedagogy – Emphasis on Rural Education, Chemistry, Computer Networks, Information Systems, Internet Systems, Zootechnics.
In the second half of 2024, 100 vacancies will be made available. Of these, 80 are for the Agronomy course, on the Rio do Sul and Santa Rosa do Sul campuses, and 20 places for the Computer Engineering course, on the São Bento do Sul Campus.
According to the law, the IFC reserves vacancies through the Affirmative Action System (quotas). When registering, you must choose between broad competition or quotas. The affirmative action system is divided into quotas for public school students (EP), low family income (BR), black, mixed race or indigenous people (PPI), quilombolas (Q), people with disabilities (PwD), and also for teachers in the public education system. To clarify doubts about the relevance or not of a certain affirmative action, the IFC created a infographic available on the Entrance Portal.
It is important to note that anyone signing up for quotas will need to prove their status before enrolling. The list of documents and procedures required for this stage are described in item 5 of notice 02/2024.
