The Marine Mollusc Laboratory, which is part of the Aquaculture Department of the Agricultural Sciences Center of the Federal University of Santa Catarina (LMM/CCA/UFSC), informs that it has a batch of excess produced native oyster seeds available for sale. These seeds were grown at the Professor Elpídio Beltrame Mariculture Station, located in Barra da Lagoa.
The lot for sale contains 1,240,000 diploid Pacific oyster seeds, priced at R$35 per million. This value is based on the cost history of the Marine Mollusc Laboratory itself and the price charged by a private laboratory in Santa Catarina.
