The Civil Police, through the Police Station for the Repression of Criminal Actions (DRACO) of Caxias do Sul, in partnership with the Police Station of Flores da Cunha, launched Operation Ax last Friday (19/1). The objective was to combat drug trafficking in the Serra region.
During the operation, teams from DRACO and the Flores da Cunha Police Station carried out search and seizure warrants. In Flores da Cunha, they discovered a laboratory used by a criminal group to mix, weigh and press cocaine.
Approximately 22 kilos of mixed cocaine were seized, along with inputs, weighing equipment and two hydraulic presses, as well as accessories for pressing the drug into bricks.
This action is part of the efforts of public security forces to combat the increase in homicides in the Caxias do Sul region, with the aim of financially dismantling criminal organizations.
