The 1st edition of 2024 of the Unified Selection System (Sisu) opens registrations on Monday (22) and can be completed until 11:59 pm on January 25.
Sisu offers places in undergraduate courses throughout Brazil, made available by public higher education institutions participating in the system managed by the Ministry of Education (MEC), such as universities and colleges. Sisu also offers vacancies through the Federal Network of Professional, Scientific and Technological Education.
In this first edition, 264,360 places will be made available in 127 public higher education institutions participating in the program, at federal, state and municipal levels. The list with the number of Sisu 2024 vacancies per institution can be seen here.
Registrations
To apply for a place in the chosen course, the candidate must register for free directly on the website. Single Portal for Access to Higher Education.
Access to the Sisu registration system is via login and password to access the federal government’s Gov.br portal.
Anyone who participated in the 2023 edition of the National High School Exam (Enem) and who obtained a score greater than zero in the writing test can register electronically.
The Sisu system will select students based on the grade obtained in the last edition of the exam, up to the limit of vacancies available, by course and type of competition, according to the choices of registered candidates and socioeconomic profile for the Quota Law .
Enem participants as trainees (who have not yet finished high school in the year of the exam) cannot use their grades to enter university.
Timeline
According to the MEC, the result of the regular call for those registered in Sisu 1/2024 will be released by the Ministry of Education on January 30th.
On the following day (1st/2nd) until February 7th, those selected must register at their respective institutions with the presentation of the necessary documentation. The deadline to join the Sisu 1/2024 waiting list will be from January 30th to February 7th
