A Transparency International – Brazil, with the support of the European Union, the United States Embassy and Consulate in Brazil and the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Brazil, launched in November 2023, a notice with the purpose of encouraging civil entities to implement the Transparency and Public Governance Index (ITGP) in the cities where they operate. The aim is to increase civil society’s ability to monitor and demand concrete actions to promote transparency, promote integrity and combat corruption.
The chosen projects, in addition to using the methodology to evaluate the transparency and integrity of Brazilian cities, will receive support in the form of financial contributions, technical assistance for project management, training and mentoring for institutional development.
Today, we are pleased to present the entities that were chosen to receive our support in the implementation of this index, which aims to strengthen social control to make Brazilian cities more transparent, open and responsive to society’s demands.
