Orquídea Alimentos, a food company based in Caxias do Sul, Rio Grande do Sul, launched a special packaging of wheat flour to celebrate the National Grape Festival 2024. The commemorative edition of 30 years of the Colonial Olympics, one of the main activities of the event, will be held between February 15th and March 3rd.
The packaging, developed by designer Rogério Casacurta, features illustrations that represent Gaucho culture and the importance of winemaking for the region. The images include a couple dressed in traditional clothes, a grapevine, a grape and a barrel of wine.
“The packaging confirms our commitment to promoting the culture of our region and encouraging tourism that drives the city’s economy”, highlights Orquídea Alimentos’ marketing manager, Marcelo Tondo Tissot.
There will be two million products distributed in the South and Southeast regions that will be promoting the party, which will take place between February 15th and March 3rd.
The company is a supporter of National Grape Festival since 1994, when the first edition of the Colonial Olympics took place. Over the years, Orquídea Alimentos has actively participated in the event, contributing to its promotion and success.
In addition to the special packaging of wheat flour, Orquídea Alimentos will also be present at the National Grape Festival with a stand at the Pavilhão das Indústrias. There, visitors will be able to learn more about the company and its products.
“We are very happy to be able to celebrate the National Grape Festival with this partnership. It’s an opportunity to show our pride in our culture and our region”, says Tissot.
The National Grape Festival is one of the main tourist events in Rio Grande do Sul. The event attracts more than 200 thousand visitors each year and drives the economy of Caxias do Sul and the region.
About Orquídea Alimentos
Founded in August 1953 by the Tondo brothers, the Orquídea food company began with a small wheat mill. Today, it is among the largest companies in the southern region of Brazil, having one of the largest wheat milling capacities: 36 thousand tons per month.
At the end of the 1990s, construction began on the factory in Caxias do Sul, where it built a modern industry equipped with automatic machines for the production of traditional and special flours, such as those used for pastries, pizzas and confectionery, as well as mixtures for breads and cakes. The factory was expanded in 2006, adding pasta of the most varied cuts to the portfolio; six years later, in 2012, he entered the biscuit manufacturing business.
