In a ceremony that took place on Friday morning (12/1), DetranRS made a significant contribution to the Civil Police (PC) of Rio Grande do Sul. Four vehicles were delivered by the general director, Mauro Caobelli, to the chief police officer, Delegate Fernando Sodré, at the municipality’s headquarters in Porto Alegre. Since June 2023, PC has already benefited from six Detran vehicles.
Furthermore, on the previous Wednesday (10), two vehicles were donated to the Secretariat of Justice, Citizenship and Human Rights (SJCDH). Secretary Fabricio Guazzelli Peruchin received the keys to the cars that will improve the department’s work.
DetranRS has been a great benefactor for several institutions in the state, with a total of 23 cars donated on 12 different occasions. In addition to the six vehicles donated this week, other institutions also benefited. Vehicles were donated to the Department of Social Assistance (2), Department of Housing (4), Civil Police (2), Gaúcha Foundation for Labor and Social Action – FGTAS (1), Superintendence of Penitentiary Services – Susepe (1) and Rio Grande do Sul Special Protection Foundation – FPE (1), Secretariat of Urban and Metropolitan Development (2), Secretariat of Economic Development (2) and Secretariat State for Social Development (2).
The donation of vehicles follows the guidelines of the Secretariat of Planning, Governance and Management (SPGG). With an average age of 10 years, the cars have been donated directly by DetranRS to the respective organizations since June last year. Previously, vehicles were sent to SPGG, which later determined the destination. This change in procedure allowed for a more efficient and direct distribution of vehicles, directly benefiting the recipient organizations.
