Pelotas Parque Tecnológico, located in Rio Grande do Sul, welcomed eight new companies in 2023, expanding its innovation ecosystem. Startups, which operate in the areas of health, education, technology, finance and condominium management, now number 65 installed in the technology park.
Among the operations that started in the space is Conllab, created in 2021 to work in the area of condominium management. According to Roger Franz, CEO and developer of the startup, the choice to integrate with Pelotas Parque Tecnológico came about due to the need for a commercial point, in addition to the infrastructure and networking potential that the environment provides. “We are launching our first version of the application in stores by September 2024, which will open many doors for us in terms of resources. We estimate growth of approximately 40% for next year”, says the CEO.
Another startup installed this year is CONECTA, with the aim of teaching and helping people aged 50+ to use technological devices, online services and digital apps. For 2024, the goal is to grow even further and structure the company to launch a digital literacy school. With the educational center in operation, both in person and online, the expectation is to positively impact the lives of individuals 50+ on a regional and national scale.
Among the companies is also Me Gusta, a startup focused on strategic communication for companies in all sectors. With 12 employees currently, the expectation for the coming years is to maintain the base in Pelotas to continue expanding service in several cities across the country.
In the healthcare area, Acanto is also revolutionizing the market through specialized services for doctors. Currently, it has an accounting service for medical professionals, called ContabMed, in operation, and within six months, it will have a shift scheduling system that connects freelancers and hospitals, called Mais Plantões.
Another company with national operations that set up shop in 2023 in the Park is Primeira Mesa, which since 2017 has aimed to change the way customers and establishments interact through an intelligent discount system. The business model adopted by the company is licensing, and today it has more than 100 associates.
According to João Sinoti Junior, partner and CTO at Primeira Mesa, the startup chose to establish itself in the Technological Park due to the structure offered and the exchange environment with other companies.
O Technology Park Balls it also started to receive one of the Quimea units, which is recognized in the market for its eco-efficient and customized solutions that reduce operational risks for organizations seeking environmental adaptation.
“We hope to consolidate our brand in the local market; to make Químea Pelotas a reference in the city, not just as an environmental consultancy company, but, through the set of solutions of the Químea Brasil network, to provide environmental well-being to our customers and partners. In this sense, the arrival of the unit to the Technology Park only increased our expectations of accelerating growth, to the point of forcing us to rethink the short-term business plan”, explains Flávio Carlos Borges, Operations Director at the startup.
In the last months of 2023, the Park welcomed two more companies, TB Finance, which works with innovation for financial services for individuals and YouControl – Digital Portaria, which works in the development of security and automation solutions for condominiums, companies, wind farms, industries and farms;
For Yousef Mahmoud Amer, Founder and CEO of TB Finance, the choice to install the company in Pelotas Parque Tecnológico is due to the encouragement of technology and Innovation in addition to other opportunities that can be generated. According to Yousef, “our expectation is to grow twice the number of revenues and customers throughout 2024 and we count on the know-how of other companies and partners residing in the Park to achieve these results”.
According to Tiago Dutra, manager at YouControl, “the company felt the need to be close to software development players in order to integrate systems and develop new solutions. The expected result is that YuoControl will become a reference in special automation projects in the south zone, adds Tiago.
Pelotas Parque Tecnológico has been consolidating itself as an important innovation hub in Rio Grande do Sul.
