If severe weather conditions prevented Christmas at the Vinhedos from being held on Friday, Saturday’s schedule made up for it. Part of the agenda scheduled to take place on the 15th was moved to the 16th, and the public was able to follow an event with more attractions. On the stage set up among the vines of Vale dos Vinhedos, Beatles no Acordeon, Vocal Alegro and, most notably, the group Tholl played, as well as DJs at the opening and closing of the event.
Those who went to Vale dos Vinhedos to follow the artistic presentations and enjoy the enogastronomy of around 20 wine establishments and 15 restaurants, witnessed exciting performances. The eternal music of the Liverpool boys was present at the opening of the program, with the Beatles on the Accordion. In addition to hits from the British band such as “Hey Jude”, the group performed Christmas themes, including “Jingle Bell”, and songs such as “Imagine” and “Happy Xmas (War is Over)”, always suggestive for this time of year — even more so with today’s conflicts in the world.
Great international themes were also featured in the Vocal Allegro show, which played Italian versions of hits such as “Dancing Queen”, by ABBA, and Christmas numbers such as “White Christmas” (“Bianco Natale”). Finally, Tholl brought a new show to Bento Gonçalves, “A Noite de Natal”, inspired by the ballet “Quebra-Nozes”. The well-known visual impact of the group’s shows from Pelotas, together with the acrobatic movements, captivated the public at Natal nos Vinhedos.
Tourists from Porto Alegre, Cleiton Ziza and Mauren Rocha were enjoying, in an already familiar environment, the experiences provided by the event for the first time. “It’s wonderful, the vineyards look beautiful with the lighting. We also really like the public, who arrive with their chairs, it is a very family event, we feel very welcomed”, they said. For Adriano Miolo, superintendent of Grupo Miolo, Christmas at the Vinhedos has renewed the number of visitors to the Valley at this time of year. “It is a project that is consolidating itself as an entertainment event during this Christmas season. It is extremely important to combine the issue of tourism with winemaking, to add enogastronomic experiences, because people end up discovering new ventures, amidst wonderful spectacles. It’s a type of Christmas that we didn’t have here, and at this time of pre-harvest, which isn’t very busy, it will even help Vale dos Vinhedos to strengthen itself as a tourist destination,” he noted.
Participating for the first time as an exhibitor at the event, chef Rafael Jacobi, from the Nature restaurant, was impressed with Christmas at the Vinhedos and all its potential “The party is fantastic, it’s a great event. I’ve been to several ‘wine destinations’, but this one is unique”, he praised. Since the beginning of the program, on December 8th, more than 12 thousand people have attended the event, a number higher than the total recorded in the debut edition, in 2022. The Christmas at the Vinhedos program continues with an agenda on December 22nd and 23rd , starting at 6:30 pm (see schedule below).
Participating in this edition are the wineries Miolo Wine Group; Maison Forestier Wines and Sparkling Wine; Valduga Family; Salton Winery; Aurora Wine Cooperative; Audace Wine; Peculiare Unique Wines; Lidio Carraro Boutique Winery; Dom Cândido Winery; Ales Victoria & Berkano Winery and Pipas Terroir and Tenuta Foppa&Ambrosi. The gastronomy signature is the Osteria Del Vale Restaurant; Valbrenta Cheese Factory; Ristorante Di Bartolomeu; Wine Spa, Nature & Don Giovanni; Brazedo; Giordani Gastronomy; Healthy life; Sweet Boutique; Due sushi and Kopenhagen. Wineries from Monte Belo do Sul (Vinícola Monte Belo, Adega Giovanni Tasca, Vinícola Avvocato and Vinícola Seis Mãos) and establishments from Santa Tereza (Vinícola Dalpubel, Vinícola Renascer, Vinícola Casamia and Restaurante Sabores de Santa) are also present.
