Nora Teixeira Hospital Oncology Center
Focused on the care of private and private patients, the Oncology Center at Hospital Nora Teixeira, made possible by the Irineu Boff Family, began its formal operation this Thursday (14/12).
Located on the second floor of Nora Teixeira Hospital, the Oncology Center stands out for combining the quality of care characteristic of Santa Casa with the most current technology for cancer treatment in the world. “Oncology in Rio Grande do Sul now has one of the most modern treatment centers in the area, with access to the expertise of the Einstein Oncology and Hematology Network and a unique care structure”, highlights the medical director of Hospital Nora Teixeira, Fernando Lucchese.
Among the differences of the new Oncology Center, the following stand out:
Stereotactic or tomosynthesis biopsy system: the Nora Teixeira Hospital Oncology Center is the first organization in the South of the country to offer a system that allows 2D or 3D biopsies to be performed, through tomosynthesis, which improves definition, precision and biopsy time, in addition to considerably reducing radiation exposure. In addition to providing greater ease, precision and agility for professionals, the system offers greater quality and comfort for patients.
Trident HD X-ray System: State-of-the-art solution for analyzing sharp, highly detailed images for sample verification directly from the operating room or outpatient procedure. The images offer the quality necessary for making quick decisions, providing greater agility and security for the medical and care team.
Hair cooling system: the hair cryotherapy cap consists of a scalp cooling procedure that prevents or reduces chemotherapy-induced hair loss. Keeping your hair during the chemotherapy process can have a positive impact on the patient’s self-esteem and their relationship with treatment and healing, maintaining their privacy and confidence during chemotherapy treatment.
State-of-the-art ultrasound equipment: technology that guarantees higher quality procedures, as well as delivering faster and more accurate results, such as clinical precision with Image Fusion Prostate Biopsy, which uses tomography or magnetic resonance images to identify lesions in the prostate.
