Casa Salto, in Porto Alegre, hosts two performances of the show Tóin: dance for Christmas babies on Saturday, December 16th. The project, running for ten years, carried out by Muovere Cia de Dança, has something new for the two sessions that close the 2023 season: the public will receive a visit from Mamãe Noela directly from Mundos Tóin, who, together with the characters Ventania , Maria Flor, Guria Papel and Sua Mola, Noela will present her surprise choreography.
Aimed especially at babies aged 0 to 3 years and their companions, the experience is made up of two activities: the show itself and a playful experience, both based on encouraging receptivity and experimentation with dance.
Tóin is inspired by children’s literature, books, images and poetic content by authors such as Gláucia de Souza, Mario Quintana and Eva Furnari, translators of the symbolic and magical universe of early childhood. Also in internet videos, such as Bebê Jeans, Sapo Xulé, Dança do Palito and Topo Giggio, among others.
The show presents four characters and their stories: Maria Flor, Ventania, Guria Papel and Sua Mola, who were born from different inspirations and collaborations. Maria Flor, for example, comes from Jussara’s daughters and granddaughter and the 3D animated short film Maria Flor; Ventania was born from stories told by dancers Denis Gosch and Joana Amaral, who were part of the project’s cast.
The presentations take place at 3pm and 5pm with tickets between R$25.00 and R$50.00, on sale via the Sympla platform. Casa Salto is located at Rua André Puente, 447, Independência neighborhood.
