The Balanço Geral brought new details about the case of the fight between father and son over custody of Bernardo. The baby, just five months old, is the center of a major family dispute in Florianópolis (SC).
Eduardo Silva de Oliveira, businessman and father, requested the compulsory and involuntary hospitalization of his own son, Alan Silveira, and his daughter-in-law, Letícia Sales. The child’s grandfather claimed that the young couple would not be in a responsible position to raise their child, due to an alleged chemical dependency.
After getting what he wanted, Eduardo had to hand over the child to his ex-wife and Alan’s mother, Viviane, sharing custody of Bernardo. In the legal fight, the woman is in favor of her son.
The warrant requested by the businessman was fulfilled by the clinic, which took the woman to a psychiatric hospital in Rio Grande do Sul.
From his father’s own perspective, Alan should also go to rehabilitation, but he wasn’t at home when the professionals picked up his wife.
Eduardo managed to have his request accepted due to a report from a private psychiatrist on his son and daughter-in-law. But the document has expired and now Alan is trying to get his son’s mother out of the clinic.
A court decision suspended the arrest warrant for the young man, who is no longer at risk of being hospitalized against his will. Freed from persecution, Alan returned to the city where his mother takes care of his son.
