The 2023 Municipal Peach Festival starts this Sunday (26), in Comunidade São Pedro, Vila Nova, 7th district of Pelotas, starting at 10am. The event will offer a wide program, with shows, a competition to choose the biggest and best fruit, typical lunch and colonial coffee, a producers’ fair, an amusement park for children and an assorted canopy.
The Festival has the support of the City Hall, through the Secretariat of Rural Development (SDR), Embrapa, Emater, Federal University of Pelotas (UFPel), Union of the Candy and Canned Food Industry of Pelotas (Sindicopel), Association of Food Producers Peach of the Pelotas Region (APPRP), Union of Family Farmers of Pelotas and Cooperative of Beekeepers and Fruit Growers of the South Zone (Cafsul). The event is being organized by the Community, the Nativist Cultural Center (CCN) Raízes da Tradição and Esporte Clube Vila Nova.
Admission is R$5.00 and parking is free. The program includes the start of the event, at 10am, with an ecumenical service and a performance by the band Metais & Cia; at 11am, official opening; at 11:30 am, lunch at CCN Raízes da Tradição; at 2pm; CCN cultural presentation; at 2:30 pm, colonial coffee; at 3pm, Expresso da Vaneira show; at 6:30 pm, Sul Brass band.
Throughout the event, the peach queen, Mariana Heller Brchardt, and princess Fernanda Radmann Scaglioni will be present.
