In September, PUCRS University launched the first edition of PUCRS Global Experience, an innovative program that offers national and international study missions for students. The School of Law was the first to participate, providing students with practical experience in the legal field.
During the technical mission in Brasília, students had the opportunity to attend trial sessions, learn about the working structure of courts and offices, and participate in lectures and dynamics in innovation laboratories. They were received by Ministers, including Minister Nancy Andrighi and Minister Hugo Carlos Scheuermann, both former PUCRS students. Furthermore, they were able to attend the last trial session with the Presidency of Minister Rosa Weber at the Federal Supreme Court (STF) and met the current President, Minister Luís Roberto Barroso, as well as Minister Sérgio Kukina.
Professor Fabiano Justin Cerveira, coordinator of the mission, highlighted the importance of the experience: “Our Technical Mission provided experiences with scientific and pedagogical relevance for the area of training and activity. They were intense days, with a lot of learning and practical knowledge.”
The PUCRS Global Experience aims to provide students with solid legal and cultural training, integrating theory and practice. The program will soon be expanded to other University Schools, offering new practical learning opportunities for students.
