Tour of Angra’s new album, Cycles of Pain, considered by public and critics the beginning of a new era in the group’s history, began with a busy schedule in Brazil and will continue to other continents next year
Exactly thirty years after releasing their debut album, the anthology Angels Cry, Angra released their newest album, Cycles of Pain. The group, which began the tour for this work in Brazil, with performances that have been attracting a legion of fans, confirmed the first series of performances in Europe in 2024, with the bands Opera Magna and Arwen opening. The dates are as follows – so far, all in Spain:
March 13th – Madrid – Sala Mon
14th March – Vigo – Master Club Room
March, 15 – Gijón – Sala Acapulco
March 16th – Bilbao – Sala Stage Live
March 17 – Barcelona – Razzmatazz 2

The band has special shows scheduled for next year, such as a performance at 70000 Tons of Metal and ProgPower USA, both in the United States, and the Summer Breeze Brasil festival, in April. However, in 2023 there is still a lot to happen. The Cycles of Pain tour is full of dates ending this stage in Rio de Janeiro (15/12), Ribeirão Preto (16/12) and São Paulo (Espaço Leste), on December 17th.
The new album – with guest appearances such as Amanda Somerville and Juliana D’Agostini in “Tears of Blood”; Lenine, in “Vida Seca” and Vanessa Moreno in “Tide Of Changes – Part II” and “Here In The Now” – can be purchased at Nerdstore (in the most diverse formats.
The album was produced, mixed and mastered by Dennis Ward, resuming the successful partnership on classics such as Rebirth and Temple of Shadows. Full of meanings, references and feelings, the album Cycles of Pain was released worldwide on November 3rd.
Acclaimed since the 1990s as one of the biggest names in Brazilian metal with a global reach, Angra, managed by Top Link Music, currently includes guitarists Rafael Bittencourt and Marcelo Barbosa, bassist Felipe Andreoli, vocalist Fabio Lione and drummer Bruno Valverde. In a great phase, Angra began a new and important chapter of its victorious journey with Cycles of Pain.
