The Department of Urbanism and Environment of Farroupilha will hold, this Saturday, November 25th, the fourth and final edition of this year’s Electronic Waste Collection Campaign in 2023. The action will take place from 8am to 11:30am, on Rua 14 de Julho, in in front of the Administrative Center, in drive-thru format.
In the first three editions of this year, held in February, May and September, more than 17.7 tons of waste were collected.
Descartes
In this campaign it is possible to discard the following materials:
– Green Line: IT, computers, notebooks, etc.
– Blue Line: portable appliances, peripherals, various electronics
– Brown Line: audio and video equipment, image tubes, monitors, televisions
– White goods: freezers, refrigerators, stoves, washing machines, microwaves
– Batteries, cartridges and printer toners
Anything that cannot be discarded must also be disposed of correctly, such as fluorescent lamps, which must be returned to the stores where they were purchased, taking into account the National Solid Waste Policy, in force since August 2010.
