In Brazil, 14 million people have some cardiovascular problem. Around 400,000 people die every year as a result of these problems, and many cases happen on the streets, where there is no chance of immediate assistance. Therefore, a Ministry of Health program wants to train the population to provide first aid in cases of cardiac arrest.
The project, in partnership with SAMU, began training volunteers to provide first aid in these cases until the ambulance arrived. Participants can be contacted through an app.
