Singer and songwriter Nina Nicolaiewsky presents this Friday (24), at Espaço 373, “Receita de Casa”, her first EP recorded at Berklee College of Music, in the Spanish city of Valencia, where the artist studied the Master in Contemporary Performance . For this show, Nina will be accompanied by the Sucinta Orquestra, formed by Clarissa Ferreira (violin), Miriã Farias (violin), Gabriela Vilanova (viola) and Luyra Dutra (cello).
Based on reflections on how to record Brazilian music outside the country, also with non-Brazilians, the artist experimented with instruments with which she had little or no familiarity. Divided into three tracks – Intro, Nem tudo and Pode ser – the album featured bassist and vibraphonist Brandon Atwell, trombonist Sam Rowley, both North Americans, and Brazilian drummer Pedrinho Augusto.
