The 30th edition of Fenadoce, which will take place from May 29th to June 16th, 2024, in Pelotas/RS, has begun the selection process for the event’s new representatives. The trio of Baronesses will be chosen in the traditional competition that will have registrations open until 5pm on November 24th via the event website (www.fenadoce.com.br).
Candidates will go through three stages with workshops, interviews and assessment of their knowledge about the city, the sweet tradition and Fenadoce. The parade to choose the three chosen ones will take place on December 7th.
Registration must be made by filling out the form on the fair’s website and the candidate must be presented by an entity or company associated with the Chamber of Retail Managers of Pelotas (CDL). You must be over 18 years old, have completed high school, not be pregnant and have lived in Pelotas for at least two years. Along with the registration, a video of up to 30 seconds recorded in a location in the city that represents its natural or cultural heritage must be attached.
After approval of registrations, candidates will go through three stages: the first with lectures, workshops and interviews, which will have a weight of 40% in the final evaluation, the second with an interview on historical knowledge of Pelotas and Fenadoce, with a weight of 30% in the note, plus the final parade, which represents the remaining 30%. Those chosen will be colored in the parade and will receive the sashes of the current Baronesses: Kaiane Medina, Larissa Dias and Martaneli Gonçalves de Bittencourt.
