The new collaboration between Lacoste and Paralympic swimmer Théo Curin has arrived to further expand the brand’s work in sport. With products that respect each person’s individuality, the pieces are made of light and adaptable fabrics. Part of the profit will be donated to projects led by para-athletes Raphaëlle Tousignant, Tom Lecomte and Brazilian Davison Fortunato, who also star in the brand’s campaign.
The collection consists of eight unisex models. Involved in the entire creative process, Théo Curin brought fully adapted pieces, with magnetic buttons that replace the traditional ones on polo shirts, and a strap that makes it easier to close jackets and adjust the sleeves of sweatshirts, for example. Additionally, t-shirts and accessories complete the drop. Here the idea is to simplify, bring products designed for everyone, functional and easy to wear.
At 23 years old, Théo Curin is a Paralympic athlete who already won silver in the 200 meter freestyle at the world championships in Mexico City in 2017. In addition to always looking for results in the world’s main swimming pools, he also works as a model, actor, columnist and speaker, when he usually takes advantage of the space he gains in the media as a way of creating an inclusive environment so that more people with disabilities can get support through the practice of sport. Based on this, the collection co-created with Lacoste is also part of your personal journey, as all pieces purchased will contribute to three projects dedicated to inclusion.
Representing Brazil, skateboarder Davison Fortunato stands out for his commitment to social work and for encouraging the creation of opportunities for Brazilian skaters to gain international visibility. The São Paulo native was at the forefront of building several skate parks in needy communities, where now many people, previously without access to any type of sport, can meet and practice the sport. The group is completed by French triathlete Tom Lecomte and Paralympic hockey player, Canadian Raphaëlle Tousignant. Tom is the current duathlon champion in France and Raphaëlle was the first woman to join a parahockey team in her country.
