From today, November 13th, until December 11th, registrations are open for the Specific Selection Process for Admission of Indigenous Students (PSEI 2024). This selection process offers 20 additional places for indigenous students from across the country who have completed high school in public schools.
Compared to previous editions, the number of available places has doubled, providing two opportunities per undergraduate course. Previously, only 10 places were offered, one per course. For more details on available vacancies, see the Notice on the website of the Permanent Selection Committee (Coperse).
To apply for one of the PSEI vacancies, you must present a indigenous ethnic-racial self-declaration, which must be completed, signed and validated by community leaders or institutional representations. The model for this declaration will be available in the Candidate Handbook.
The selection test will be administered on January 13, 2024, in the cities of Porto Alegre and Passo Fundo. Selected candidates must send the necessary documentation for admission through the Candidate Portal, between January 24th and 30th. Online registration will take place on March 5th and 6th, and classes are scheduled to start on March 18th, 2024.
