Organized by Arte Faz Parte Produções and supported by Horta Comunitária Joanna de Ângelis and Centro Espírita Fé, Luz e Caridade, the play “Chico Xavier em Pessoa” arrives in Novo Hamburgo this Thursday, November 9th, at 8 pm , at the Municipal Culture Center.
The show is a narrative experience about the art of listening, written as if it were an interview, in which the Brazilian icon of the spiritualist doctrine, played by Renato Prieto, accepts the task of answering crucial questions for understanding today’s existentialist concerns.
Tickets for the play cost R$50.00 plus one kilo of non-perishable food. In addition to being available in different spaces of the Joanna de Ângelis Community Garden, such as the Secretariat, Warehouse, Thrift Store and with volunteers, entry can also be purchased at the Centro Espírita Fé, Luz e Caridade. About the cast
Renato Prieto is called by Divaldo Franco the “minstrel of the country’s spiritual art” for his decades of service to doctrinal art with dozens of theatrical shows, documentaries and films, including Nosso Lar and Nosso Lar 2: Os Mensageiros, in which he plays the protagonist André Luiz, in the adaptations of the series of books dictated by Emmanuel with psychography by Chico Xavier. The work also features special appearances in video and voice over additional texts by Haroldo Dutra Dias, Dr. Carlos Eduardo Brito and De Lucca.
About the Joanna de Ângelis Community Garden
For 33 years, the Entity has been operating in Novo Hamburgo and serves children and families in situations of social vulnerability with the purpose of assisting in the integral transformation of human beings through charity. The initiative has a group of more than 350 volunteers, structured around Social, Educational, Patrimonial, Administrative, Environmental and Spiritual pillars. The Entity’s projects include: providing psychological and psycho-pedagogical services, recreational activities with children, providing snacks, food baskets, clothes, footwear and blankets, among other actions.
