Campo Bom continues with the Mercosul Figure Skating Cup until Sunday (12). The event started yesterday (6) at the Campo Bom Municipal Gymnasium, bringing together around 750 athletes from 50 Brazilian clubs (RS, SC, PR, SP, MG and GO), ten Uruguayans and four Paraguayans. Entrance to the gym is free and competitions take place throughout the day, from 8am to 11pm.
The event is organized by Patinart, with support from Campo Bom City Hall, through the Municipal Department of Sport and Leisure (SMEL). The City Hall’s partnership with Patinart, in addition to hosting the Mercosul Cup, provides skating classes, within the Social Sports Program (PES). Activity open to girls and boys born between 2011 and 2017, residing in Campo Bom, takes place at the Municipal Gymnasium, with professor Léo Bengochêa, director of Patinart.
