In Pelotas, Mayor Paula Mascarenhas met this Monday (6) with representatives from the departments of Public Security (SMSP), Transport and Traffic (STT) and the Public Security Observatory. The topic was the renewal of Decree 6,766/2023 on the sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages in the region of Rua Gonçalves Chaves. The regulation, which is valid until the 19th, must be renewed for another 90 days.
After a satisfactory analysis of the Rolê Daora Movement, implemented in the region of Rua Gonçalves Chaves, the teams are now studying the characteristics of other points that present complaints from the population, such as the regions of Avenidas Duque de Caxias and Bento Gonçalves.
According to the Chief Executive, the positive evaluations show that the work has been successful, which directs staff to identify the best action strategies for other areas of the city.
The meeting was attended by the secretaries of Government and Strategic Actions, Fábio Machado, of Transport and Traffic, Flávio Al Alam, of Public Security, José Apodi Dourado, of City Management and Urban Mobility, Carmem Vera Roig, as well as the commander of the Municipal Guard, Cintia Aires, the coordinator of the Pacto Pelotas pela Paz, Aline Crochemore and the mayor’s chief of staff, Kelli Baum.
