The 69th Porto Alegre Book Fair will hold the Preto Sou activity cycle this Friday, November 10th. There are lectures, storytelling and artistic and cultural presentations by writers, black collectives and quilombos from Porto Alegre, Portão and Maquiné. The program, aimed at audiences of all ages, will promote debates, dialogues and reflections on culture, art and daily life of African descendants.
The activities will start at 9am, with a chat with writer Rogério Andrade Barbosa. Another highlight will be the colloquium ‘The multiple forms of racism and racial discrimination’, with the participation of deputies Daiana Santos and Reginete Bispo and Baba Diba de Iyemonja. The event mediator will be Emir da Silva.
The activities will take place at Espaço Petrobrás Carlos Urbim, Espaço Jovem Banrisul Vero, Território dos Parceiros da Feira/Correios, in the auditorium of the Memorial do Rio Grande do Sul, in Praça dos Autografos, in Quintal das Histórias/Sulgás and in the Reference Collection Room in Children’s and Young Adult Literature from Rio-Grandense Book Chamber.
