Edemir Zatti, an iconic figure in the business and community scene of Caxias and the region, recounted his experiences and visions throughout a life dedicated to the progress and transformation of Caxias do Sul. The businessman highlighted, in particular, his work at CIC Caxias, where played a crucial role as protagonist of the merger between the Commercial and Industrial Association (ACI), the entity he presided over, and the Manufacturing Industry Center, chaired by Paulo Bellini, in 1973. This event represented a milestone in the entity’s history, joining forces to strengthen local business and contribute to the city’s economic development. Still in the 70s, he played a decisive role in the construction of the building that houses the entity to this day.
Furthermore, Edemir Zatti presented his contributions in other areas fundamental to the growth of Caxias do Sul, including his leadership for more than 40 years at the head of Sindimadeira RS, holding the position of president in three different periods, his involvement in the purchase of the land where the Grape Festival Pavilions are currently located, its support for the maintenance of the University of Caxias do Sul and its engagement in the construction of the administrative headquarters of Recreio da Juventude.
