In 2023, until last Monday, October 30, the Federal District (DF) recorded 39 cases of deaths due to sudden illness. The data appears on the InfoSaúde Portal, which is the Federal District’s health transparency portal, managed by the district government.
There are 178.5% more cases of this type of death than those reported last year, according to Portal InfoSaúde.
According to the Health Department of the Federal District (SES-DF), occurrences of this type are registered as “sudden deaths of cardiac origin”.
According to the InfoSaúde Portal, throughout 2022, SES-DF registered 14 cases, compared to 7 in 2021 and 15 in 2020.
