Nova Petrópolis started this Wednesday, November 1st, the installation of the emergency button in the five state schools and in Apae in the municipality. The security feature has already been installed in 13 municipal schools, with the possibility of monitoring by the Military Brigade and Civil Police.
The first state institution in Nova Petrópolis to receive the emergency button was Escola Padre Amstad, in Linha Imperial. Over the next few days services will be held in other schools. In parallel, the Municipality is working on testing the system and making adjustments to the agreement already signed with the State Department of Public Security, which will include the emergency button feature.
In addition to installing the emergency button in six more schools, this week the installation of six more video surveillance cameras began at strategic points in the Vale Verde, Piá, Centro and Linha Brasil neighborhoods. For strategic security reasons, the exact points will not be reported.
