The Cerrito Alegre Events Center, 3rd district of Pelotas, hosted, this week, the Productive Efficiency Course in the Dairy Chain, taught by zootechnician Patrícia Rosa, linked to the technical assistance and rural property management company. The vice-mayor and secretary of Rural Development, Idemar Barz, followed part of the program, together with district administrators and SDR technicians.
“This type of initiative is very important. Producers have access to technical guidance, exchange of experiences and clarifications that can provide greater quantity and better quality milk production, including helping to face the crisis the sector is going through. The results are positive and the presence of professionals helps those interested to resolve any doubts”, observes Idemar Barz.
The program was aimed at producers from the 3rd and 6th districts, who have dairy production as the main activity on their properties. During the course, there were several approaches to the production chain, such as pasture-based milk production, rotational grazing, pasture efficiency, silage, importance and technical assistance.
In addition to the producers, the district administrators of Santa Silvana, Fernando Hirdes, and Cerrito Alegre, Zelmuth Tessmann, and SDR technicians, Rejane Jorge and Manoel Jacottet, were present.
