With the aim of connecting entrepreneurs from the South region with innovation startups, the 2nd TechBusiness meeting: Bringing Startups, Companies and Investors together was held at Pelotas Parque Tecnológico, on the afternoon of this Thursday (26), promoted by the Innovation Center of the Association Pelotas Commercial (ACP). The event had more than 250 registrants and included a series of lectures on success stories, a coffee break for networking, as well as 30 startup stands, the final of the Battle of Startups action and a concert by the band Sed Lex.
According to the president of ACP, Fabrício Cagol, Pelotas Parque Tecnológico was the location chosen to host the event as it is a well-known integration space in the city. “ACP has many more traditional entrepreneurs as members and the Technology Park concentrates startups and companies focused on technology and innovation, the objective of the event was to provide a moment of unity between these sectors”, explains Fabrício.
The coordinator of the ACP innovation center and president of the board of Pelotas Parque Tecnológico, Leonardo Reichow, the secretary of innovation of RS, Simone Stülp and Fabrício Cagol, spoke at the meeting. Furthermore, the CEO of Smart Money Education, Theo Braga, the CEO of Yller Biomateriais, Fabrício Ogliar, the CEO of Axis Brasil, Thiago Xaba and the co-founder and CTO of Anota Aí, Matheus Santos, presented their success stories and shared tips on how to improve a startup’s services.
After the series of lectures, the final of the Battle of Startups was held, when the companies Helper, Revemark and Trilha competed in a pitch presentation. The judges were Taynara Domingues, innovation manager at Inova RS, Rafael Sá, vice-president of the Rio Grande Chamber of Commerce, Newton Lopes, from Ventiur Smart Capital, Artur Gibbon, president of Reginp and João Deschamps, director of institutional relations at Pelotas Technological Park. All finalist companies won a place in the Sebrae Like a Boss final at Gramado Summit 2024 and monetary prizes. Check out the podium:

About Pelotas Technological Park
The Park, officially created in 2016, is managed by TECNOSUL – Scientific and Technological Park, a non-profit civil association under private law, scientific, technological, educational and cultural in nature. It has a Board of Directors (Consad), elected every three years, and operates in three major areas in which the municipality already stands out as a hub: information and communication technology; health technology and creative industry. Currently, 63 companies operate in Pelotas Parque Tecnológico, 23 of which are located in areas managed by the Park, seven in coworking, 15 incubated, 18 pre-incubated. Among the incubators are Conectar, UFPel’s Technology-Based Incubator; CIEMSUL, multi-sector business incubator from UCPel and SENATEC, aimed at junior companies. Furthermore, there are 23 partner institutions. The Park offers coworking space, with a gastronomic area for 55 people, an auditorium for 230 people, two meeting and training rooms and parking for 65 cars. In total, Pelotas Parque generates 267 direct jobs and 638 indirect jobs.
