The city of Morretes, on the coast of Paraná, hosts the 2nd Morretes Blues Festival this weekend, November 4th and 5th. The event combines music and gastronomy in outdoor spaces occupying several points in the historic center of the traditional and charming Morretes. Located less than 70 km from Curitiba, the city is one of the oldest in Paraná and has well-preserved colonial houses, on the banks of the Nhundiaquara River.
Promoted by Planeta Brasil Entretenimento in partnership with the Porks – Porco & Chope chain and Bar Crossroads, the second edition of the Morretes Blues Festival has institutional support from Morretes City Hall and will feature performances by big names in the genre in Paraná, in addition to bringing , for the first time, national musical attractions. The event will also offer diverse cuisine and activities for the whole family, boosting the local economy and providing a new entertainment option for residents of the region and tourists.
With excellent musical curation, the program of shows will offer the best of blues on two stages set up in the city’s iconic historic center. On the main stage, Gralha Blues Trio, Jamy’s Quartet, Gui Tosin, Grumpy Groovers, Crooked Trio, Emerson Caruso Trio, Bernardo Manita Quarteto, Sonora Blus and Tony Caster & The Black Mouth Dogs will perform. The bandstand hosts shows by Lonesome Captain, Maracujinas, Marina Costa, Duo Famiglia, Lely Duo, Julio Mallaguthi (Rock Nomad) and Mamba Blues Trio.
