Rider launched its new Rider R4 Spaces collection, with 5 models that include slide slippers, flip flops and slippers. The products are inspired by the seas and oceans, one of the biggest sources of ecological concern today. The marine ecosystem also inspired the colors, shapes, textures and prints of the models.
To star in the campaign, Rider invited four artists connected to the pillars of this new collection: sustainability and oceans. Nature and water are key elements in different cultures and beliefs, and they influence the lives and work of singers Luedji Luna and Hodari. The seas are also a source of inspiration for the artist Caio Kronig, who paints on cloth. Artist Desali Xo uses waste to develop his creations, establishing a direct connection with R de Recriar.
The new Rider R4 Spaces collection includes monomaterial products (i.e., made with just one type of material) to facilitate recyclability, as the footwear does not need to be disassembled to be recycled, in addition to using low-impact materials, such as biobased EVA. (produced with at least 25% sugar cane), recycled PVC, which reuses leftovers from the production process and replaces the use of virgin raw materials, and fabrics made from recycled PET bottles. Grendene also encourages reverse logistics, by providing collection points for the brand’s products.
Rider R4 Space Slide
Available in 4 colors, it is a vegan, monomaterial product (which facilitates recycling) and made entirely with biobased EVA (made with at least 25% renewable material from sugar cane). It also has low CO2eq emissions – R$ 199.99
Rider R Zero R4 Slide
Extremely light and comfortable, it is also available in 4 colors. It is a vegan, mono-material product (to facilitate recycling), manufactured entirely with biobased EVA (made with at least 25% renewable material from sugar cane in an ultra-soft version) and with low CO2eq emissions – R$ 129, 99
Rider R4 Free Papete Especial Rider Spaces
Available in 3 colors, in addition to being a vegan, recyclable product with low CO2eq emissions, the sole is made with 81% recycled material, while the straps have 35% recycled material. The label uses material partially from recycled PET bottles and the model in the photo uses a painting technique that reduces the use of paint – R$ 99.99
Rider R4 2straps Papete Especial Rider Spaces
Paper model with 2 straps, also very comfortable. Vegan and recyclable product, available in 3 colors, and with low CO2eq emissions. The sole and straps are made from recycled material (81% and 35%, respectively), while the label has material partially sourced from recycled PET bottles. The model in the photo also uses a painting technique that reduces the use of paint – R$ 129.99
Rider R4 II Finger
Available in 6 colors, it is a vegan, recyclable product with low CO2eq emissions (only 100g per pair). It also uses a high percentage of recycled material in its composition: 81% in the sole and 100% in the straps – R$ 39.99
