Nova Petrópolis released the Magic of Christmas 2023 schedule that takes place from October 27th to January 7th at Rua Coberta, Praça das Flores and in various spaces in the city. There will be three months of attractions with free entry.
Representatives from different segments of Nova Petrópolis culture were invited to contribute to the programming. There will be dozens of presentations, including concerts and musical shows, dance, recreational activities, artistic interventions and religious celebrations.
There will be 120 attractions spread over 11 weekends. The extensive program promises to delight everyone, starting this Friday, the 27th, the official opening date of the Magic of Christmas.
The first night of programming will feature a performance by the Gramado Guitar Orchestra. Another highlight of the night will be the arrival of Santa Claus – a moment long awaited by children and their families.
The community and tourists will be able to visit Santa Claus in Vila do Noel, next to Rua Coberta, on Saturdays and Sundays, from 4pm to 7pm.
The traditional Christmas Fair, which highlights the diversity of products related to the date, takes place from Monday to Friday, from 9am to 6pm, and on Saturdays and Sundays, from 9am to 8pm.

Among the new features on the program for Magic of Christmas in 2023 are the show “Cantata na Janela”, with two editions, on November 19th and December 10th; the “Caminhada do Noel”, on December 3rd; and “Pedalada Iluminada”, on December 10th. The traditional “Lantern Walk” takes place on November 19th.
Among the regional attractions, the Christmas event will feature the presence of tenor Giovanni Marquezeli; from the Czech artists Check Accordi on Trio; from the group Presença de Palco; and the Caxias Ensemble Orchestra. Also noteworthy is the show “Boas Novas” by Fran Duarte and Tatieli Bueno; Straw Basket; and Owlzz.
As semi-permanent attractions, there will be the “Noelas Show”, the “Natale” show and the “Christmas Paradinha”. All three of these will take place alternately on the weekends.
The program will also include the Nova Petrópolis Municipal Band, Nova Petrópolis Youth Orchestra, school brass bands; the Cooperative Christmas; presentations by German dance groups; dance and music schools in the municipality; among other shows.
The religiosity linked to the Advent period and the birth of Jesus Christ is also present at Christmas in Nova Petrópolis. Various ecumenical events are part of the official program of celebrations.
The Magic of Christmas is organized by the City of Nova Petrópolis in partnership with the Commercial and Industrial Association of Nova Petrópolis (Acinp) and is sponsored by Sicredi Pioneira.
