Last Saturday (21), the 1st Family Agroindustry Festival took place in the municipality. The event was held in Via del Vino, and was attended by 19 agribusinesses. At the festival there were also artistic presentations, sales of agricultural products and also for consumption on site.
At the event, approximately 109 bottles of wine, 83 bottles of juice, 118 breads, 46 pizzas, 56 foccacias, 300 pastries, 300 risolis, 52 packets of biscuits, 48 portions of pasta, 40 packets of snacks, 23 jams were sold. chimia, 95 units of caramelized sweets, as well as 8 kg of pecan nuts and others.
Councilor Luiz Gromowski was representing the City Council and commented that “our interior is part of the culture and education of the municipality. Agribusinesses deserve all our applause and admiration for the important work they perform, selling their products. It is very important that the small producer has the production of the family industry. I always say that this is a sector that works a lot. Long live all our agro-industries.”
State deputy Guilherme Pasin highlighted that “the Bento agribusiness process is a reference for the State of RS. Here in the municipality we have a complete reference that unites Agriculture, Tourism and Economic Development. That’s why Bento has stood out over the years and is now one of the state’s biggest highlights. This, more than anything, elevates the name of our city to the highest level. I feel proud to be part of this community.”
Secretary of Culture Evandro Soares highlighted that “this festival was incredible, with an interesting range of attractions, from the participating agribusinesses, to cultural attractions, with lots of music and relaxation. The festival is nothing more than a big party, and today we are uniting agriculture and culture, which are the principle of our Bento Gonçalves, considering all our diversity. It was a day of great attractions, which kept everyone excited.”
Secretary of Agriculture Volnei Christófoli commented that “the festival is a new moment for Bento, something new. I think it’s cool because it brings a bit of the countryside to the center of the city. It is the appreciation of the man from the interior, of the small colonial farm that comes to the center and gives people from all over the municipality the opportunity to get to know the products and celebrate together”.
Mayor Diogo Siqueira also commented on the importance of the work done in agro-industries. “I need to give special thanks to all our farmers and entrepreneurs who are industrializing their production and giving Bento Gonçalves immense pride. This is the moment to value our agro-industries, and we need to value this work, which comes from agriculture, and which takes great care to legalize at Emater, taking Bento’s name to different places in the State”.
Agribusinesses at party
One of the oldest and most traditional agribusinesses in the municipality is Geleias Ivani. With 40 years of existence, it was present at the event. “Being part of this festival means a lot to us, as we have been part of many fairs for many years, and now we are producing various types of jams. This is the opportunity to be seen by many people and perhaps gain new customers”, commented co-owner Evanir Marcolin.
Biosabores- Produtos Orgânicos produces natural wines, with spontaneous fermentation, and was also present at the festival. Owner-partner Marina Gallian commented on the event. “Participating in the first family agribusiness festival is great. This is the first festival in this segment that we have participated in, which makes us very happy, as we have the chance to show a little of what we do to a large audience.”
Júnior Cesar, co-owner of Agroindústria Gemille, highlighted that “it is gratifying to participate in this first meeting. We have different types of cookies, pies, Tyrolean, Swiss, as well as chicken bruschetta and margherita. Some of our products are very successful.”
The co-owner of Gallon Sucos, Edvaldo Moro Gallon, commented that “it is very important because we do all the work on a national level, and we also need to be known in our home, city. This is very important”.
The co-owner of EM Produtos Coloniais, Elaine Moro, was present on the day making fresh breads and pastries, as well as other typical colonial products, such as pizzas, foccacias and risolis. “Being participating is a privilege, both for me and for all the farmers who are here exhibiting their products and showing the quality of what we do.”
Tomasi agroindustry was also present selling sweet jams, caramelized peanuts and nuts. Co-owner Elisa Bucco highlighted that “the event is fantastic, with an incredible variety of options, and for us, it is another opportunity to show the community what we produce”.
In addition to the gastronomic options, those who attended the fair could also learn about how the production of bags and straw hats works. The owner of Artesanato Mãos de Palha, Jaqueline de Toni, was at the festival producing and explaining how production works to those passing by.
“Firstly, we just have to thank you for this beautiful event, and I believe that in addition to showing our product and adding value, we are perpetuating what our ancestors brought. It’s a way of keeping our culture alive, showing what our farmers produce and transform. Whoever is here only takes away good times and many affectionate memories.”
