The long awaited 34th Igrejinha Oktoberfest began on Friday (20), marking the beginning of the biggest community party in Brazil. The Almiro Grings Events Park will be the center of attention until October 29th, offering a variety of cultural attractions, diverse music, gastronomic delights and lots of fun.
Solemn Opening
The opening ceremony was attended by several authorities and members of the press. The event was enhanced by artistic and cultural presentations, including a performance by the Coral Encanto de Igrejinha and typical dances presented by the Kirchleinburg Dance Group.
The Voluntary Spirit
Marcelo Kunst, president of Amifest, highlighted the tireless effort of the teams of more than 3 thousand volunteers who make the party possible. Egon Wallauer, vice-president of Amifest, expressed his desire for the 34th edition to be full of memorable moments and lasting connections.
The Court of Sovereigns
Queen Kádina Correia de Lima Linden and Princesses Jenifer Isamara Müller and Sofia Camargo Bischoff praised the community and solidarity spirit of the party. Kádina expressed her growing love for Igrejinha’s Oktoberfest, which is run by volunteers and benefits the community.
Words from the Mayor
Mayor Leandro Horlle emphasized that Oktoberfest is not just a local event, but a celebration that resonates throughout the Paranhana Valley, Rio Grande do Sul and Brazil. He also shared his personal experience as a volunteer for over 30 years.
State Government Representation
Claudia Mara Borges, representative of the State Government and the State Tourism Secretariat, defined Oktoberfest as an event that promotes development, belonging and empathy. She praised the party as an example for Brazil and the world.
Dennis DJ opens national show schedule
Recognized throughout Brazil, the DJ from Rio took to the main stage of Oktoberfest in Igrejinha on Friday night (20). Dennis entertained the public with his great hits, filling pavilion 2 at Parque de Eventos Almiro Grings.
During the show, the artist brought hits that marked the era such as “Sou Teu Fã”, “ Isso Que é Vida”, “Deixa de Onda”, “Só Você” and “Malandramente”. The DJ also brought songs in partnership with other artists, such as “Tá OK”, with Mc Kevin o Chris and “Agora é Tudo Meu”, with Kevinho.
The weekend also has a Thematic Parade, Aquece Oktober, cultural attractions and a show by Alexandre Pires
On the first Super Saturday, October 21st, Oktoberfest Park will open at noon, with free entry until 4:30 pm. On a day marked by culture and musical diversity, the public will be able to enjoy the German Games from 2 pm; and check out the Thematic Parade leaving from Av. Presidente Castelo Branco towards Oktoberfest Park from 2:30 pm. Agita Oktober will feature DJs in Pavilion 2, while Aquece Oktober will provide an open bar beer party in an exclusive environment, with tickets purchased separately and special programming. Among the varied musical attractions of the day will be: Banda Típica Verno & Cia (12pm), DJ Fran Prado (4pm), Júnior Giehl (5:30pm), Madame Frau (10:30pm) and Brilha Som (1am).
On Sunday, October 22nd, the public can enjoy Oktober de Igrejinha from 10 am, with free entry until noon. The German School Games and artistic, cultural and folklore presentations will take place on this day. From 3 to 4 pm, there will be a Double Beer EISENBAHN PILSEN moment throughout the Park. At 7 pm, the public will be entertained by Alexandre Pires’ show. The day’s musical program will also feature bands of different musical styles, including names such as: Banda Típica Macega Show (10am), Super Banda Berlin (3:30pm), Corpo e Alma (5:30pm), Jana Eberthe and Alê Marks (7pm) and Pagode do Nando (10pm).
