With the theme “The protagonism of people with Intellectual and Multiple Disabilities”, the Pestalozzi de Canoas Association presents the exhibition “97 Years Transforming Lives”, which takes place from October 17th to 31st at the Canoas Shopping Cultural Space. Visiting is free and can be done from Monday to Saturday, from 10am to 10pm and on Sundays and holidays, from 11:30am to 10pm.
The exhibition presents works of some of the potential that students and those served have, through art, demonstrating their feelings and understanding of the subjects covered in classes and workshops. The objective is to bring out creativity and imagination, bringing freedom of expression to each child.
Pestalozzi de Canoas Association
Pestalozzi de Canoas is a non-profit organization, founded on October 26, 1926. The first organization in Brazil to work to guarantee and defend the rights of people with intellectual disabilities.
It operates in the areas of social assistance, education, health, culture, sport, leisure, insertion in the job market, among others and aims to promote qualification and rehabilitation from the perspective of autonomy, execute and support actions that contribute to social inclusion, participation, protagonism, autonomy and improvement in the quality of life of people with intellectual disabilities, their families and/or caregivers.
