The Brazilian stage of the world’s main amateur cycling marathon prepares a special moment for children and young people on October 14th, within the GFNY Bento Gonçalves program.
The objective is to encourage a love of sport and show the importance of including healthy habits in the routine of young people. GFNY Bento Kids proposes themed activities for people in this age group as a way of leaving a legacy of strengthening cycling in the region. “Physical exercise is essential for their healthy growth and physical, mental and emotional well-being. Furthermore, cycling is a sport dedicated to the spirit of the community, which contributes to the development process of children. It is our commitment to offer the community the opportunity to take their children to learn about and better appreciate this important sport”, highlights Ana Paula Cavalcanti, director of Global Sports Eventos Esportivos, responsible for GFNY Bento.
Concentrated at the Bento Gonçalves Events Park, the mini race invites children and teenagers aged 2 to 14 to experience the atmosphere of the great stages of world cycling, in a totally exclusive, personalized and free way, starting at 2pm. Special attractions are also being prepared, including a raffle for a Kids Bike offered by partner Specialized, which presents the race for little ones. This moment will take place alongside the awards ceremony, scheduled for the main stage of the Global Sports Expo – GFNY Bento Gonçalves – a fair that takes place inside the park.
The free event is focused on the world of cycling, bringing together exhibitors related to the sporting world, shows, activities focused on sport and leisure, conversation circles, the region’s traditional wine and gastronomy and other activities aimed at children. Registration for young athletes who wish to participate in the competition is free. in this link.
